X-Rite, known as one of “West Michigan’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, is seeking a Part-time Credit Specialist/Analyst to join our Credit team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This part-time position will be for 20-25 hours per week. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform deduction management activity associated with Amazon; Pantone E-Commerce; Hong Kong E-Store accounts. Additional Ecommerce & Credit Card accounts activities as assigned by X-Rite Director of Credit 

• Complete submission of ERP generated invoices into Customer(s)’ specific billing system(s) 

• Obtain payment-remittance information from various 3rd Party databases. Provide X-Rite Accounts Receivable Department with payment allocation details including codes for various deductions taken by customer(s)

• Analyze, process deductions taken by assigned customer(s).  

• Initiate Internal or External action(s) necessary to determine if deductions are valid. Where appropriate, contact customer and initiate collection activities if deductions are not valid

• If deduction(s) are valid, coordinate with Internal business partners for issuance of necessary credit note to clear deduction(s) from account. Maintain follow-up with appropriate business partner to ensure credit notes are issued in a timely manner

• Coordinate with business partners to resolve contested items

• Daily analyze Credit Card Chargebacks- review documentation and process dispute action in accordance with time-lines identified on Credit Card Chargeback documentation

• Proactively partner with internal and external customers to identify trends and resolve issues that cause invalid deductions.

• Identifies and drives process improvement for reducing administrative costs, streamlining   processes, and reducing deduction volume 

• Create, maintain and report information to Director of Credit regarding pending payment/deductions

• This position works closely with the Sales; Customer Success; Shipping-Logistics; Product Management Departments to investigate and eliminate causes creating deduction compliance issues

• Job functions include but are not limited to those listed 

Job Requirements



Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in deduction management – resolution 

•  1 - 2 years accounting experience 

•  Experience in Microsoft Office applications -  specifically Excel

• Strong interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communication skills to deal effectively with a wide range of people often on matters of a sensitive nature.

• Strong analytical skills; research and problem-solving skills 

• Ability to perform all above mentioned job functions
