Description

This position will be the leader for both the Cost Accounting process and the business partner for the Global Operations team.


Primary Responsibilities: 
• Manage the cost accounting process integrated in the financial system
• Update and maintain product costing; establish and revise material, labor, and overhead rates
• Responsible for operation accounting on manufacturing and PPV/VAE that includes:
- Month end close and reporting
- Analysis and review of results
- Forecast review and updates
• Prepare monthly Operations Scorecard, including
- COGS Variance Reporting
- Spend and productivity reporting for Supply Chain and Manufacturing
- Variance and productivity analysis by Plant and by Geographic Region
- Analysis of Inventory Turns and NWC
- Warranty, Freight, and Building Spend Analysis
• Partner with Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams on KPI measurements on performance results, develop countermeasures as needed. 
• Develop forecast and budget on manufacturing operations, PPV/VAE and Working Capital targets on Inventory and Accounts Payable.
• Budget and review for capital spending
• Analyze cost variances and impact of exchange rates (e.g. supply chain Fx)
• Analyze and forecast absorption rates for manufacturing locations

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting required
• CPA required
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including 5+ in cost accounting required
• Experience with Oracle and HFM preferred but not required
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to interact with employees, including management in a professional manner
• Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
• Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
• Organizational and leadership skills


Key Competencies:

• Experience in large global organization with numerous sales and factory reporting locations
• Deep knowledge of inventory costing
• Defining and implementing processes to forecast financial results

Key Relationships:
• Reports to: Global Corporate Controller
• Direct Reporting Relationships (Cost Accounting and  Accounts Payable)
• Key Relationships: Operations Leaders, FP&A Group, Plant Controllers
• Leadership in a matrix
• Analysis of financial results to identify variations and trends that indicate possible exposures and the need for countermeasures
• Working capital analysis and management
• Expression and analysis of business problems using advanced financial tools
