The contract HR Generalist will provide day to day tactical HR support to business partners across three Life Science Business Units.  Lead and/or participate in projects and organization development initiatives.  

Primary Responsibilities:

• HR Partnership -- provide effective HR partnership that is consistent with our HR’s vision and mission and achieves desired business results:

o Support regional initiatives designed to build a compliant, competitive and cost-effective business

o Lead HR processes, initiatives and day to day activities for assigned areas

o Manage special HR projects to achieve desired outcomes and participate on project teams as assigned

• Employee Relations:

o Foster constructive employee relationships across the local organization

o Understand employee needs and facilitate effective communication channels between management and employee population

o Sponsor and drive events and programs designed to increase employee engagement

o Consult with and advise business managers on disciplinary process and risk assessment on employee relations and performance related issues

• Compliance:

o Ensure compliance with federal & local employment law

o Comply with all corporate and local policies including Ethics & Compliance Program

o Assure accurate AAP record keeping and timely local plan administration

o Liaise with Manager and Legal Department on ER issues and investigations

o Assure employee data and records are accurately maintained in a manner with Pall’s record retention policy.

o Assure accurate and timely entry of employee data into Pall’s HRIS systems (within 24 hours of receipt).

• Talent Management/ Employee Engagement:

o Partner with local business leaders and HR CoEs to ensure effective and timely Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Development Plans & Talent Movement

o Implement and administer an effective on-boarding process to promote new hire productivity

o Partner with business leaders on initiatives that engage employees and promote retention of key talent

• Compensation/Benefits/Rewards:

o Partner with Compensation, Benefits, and Talent Management CoEs on compensation processes:  merit review and bonus planning; promotions; special adjustments

o Effectively communicate Pall’s benefits plans and manage local benefits open enrollment

• Training & Development:

o Recommend & facilitate leadership training

o Ensure corporate compliance training, safety training, and other required training on common policies and programs

Skills and Knowledge:

• Solve complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

• Has knowledge of best practices and how own functional area integrates with others

• Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve services

Job Requirements


• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field

• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a Life Science environment

• Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Work and PowerPoint
