Job Description

Job ID: IDB000111

About Us

IDBS helps research and development (R&D) teams around the world make discoveries that have the potential to transform the lives of populations worldwide.

Our advanced scientific informatics platform, The E-WorkBook Cloud, enables organizations to securely capture, manage, share and gain insight from their structured and unstructured data.
Our diverse customer list includes 22 of the top 25 global pharmaceutical companies, and other R&D-driven organizations in biotechnology, agricultural sciences, chemicals, consumer goods, energy, food and beverage, and healthcare.

Privately held since 1989, IDBS joined Danaher's Life Sciences platform at the end of 2017. IDBS will help provide the foundation for a portfolio of life sciences informatics and knowledge management solutions, within Danaher, that will accelerate the speed of discovering, developing and producing new drugs and therapies.

IDBS is an equal opportunity employer.  We evaluate qualified applicants without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, marital status, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Are you looking to work with world-leading research and development (R&D) organizations providing cutting-edge data capture and analysis tools? Are you able to bridge the gap between science, business and technology? IDBS is seeking a curious, motivated and technically driven associate for our Global Professional Services team, operating out of our Boston Office. This is a great opportunity for an outgoing, driven individual to join a dedicated group of associates and collaborate with a variety of internal teams with the goal of assisting our external clients in their data management journey.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As primarily a client facing role, we will be looking for someone who can build relationships based on trust, quality delivery and professionalism. Clients will rely on you to problem-solve whilst delivering solutions into their organization within agreed timelines. Taking a logical and measured view of the problem in hand, you will demonstrate an ability to learn new concepts to add to your technical background in Life Sciences and IT.

While working with clients, you will extend your relationship building skills to develop an internal network within IDBS, working closely with colleagues in US offices. Excellent verbal and written communication will support you in both aspects.

You will enjoy opportunities to travel within the US region, on average 25-50% of the time; however, requirements may vary.

This is an entry level role, so whether you are a new graduate, looking for a career change or have some foundation experience in industry, we would love to hear from you! You will need a degree in a related field such as Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Chemical, Food and Beverage or Oil/Gas, or some exposure to defining customer requirements and deploying software solutions which may have been gained through  university experience, work placement or apprenticeship.
