  • Reporting directly to the Global Compensation Lead, the Compensation Analyst II will serve as a business partner to the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics and Life Sciences HR organizations, advising on and supporting all aspects of broad-based compensation. The analyst role will be based in Brea, CA, but will provide global support, collaborating with in-country HR leaders and compensation specialists. 

  • Support the various compensation life cycle events including annual merit planning, variable pay administration, and equity processes.
  • Perform data analytics to support various compensation projects and program audits. 
  • Apply the Global Career and Reward Framework, providing guidance to the organization around job mapping and leveling. 
  • Consult with HR business partners on employee compensation related matters such as pay adjustments and incentive plan assignments.
  • Advise HR and business leaders on employment-related law such as FLSA and internal policy. 
  • Perform ad-hoc market pricing and pay range analysis to inform compensation structures.
  • Participate in company-wide compensation projects such as acquisition integrations or new program implementation.
  • Provide training to HR and management on compensation philosophy, strategy, and practice.
  • Conduct any additional duties as required.
  • Travel required <10%

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience or, master’s degree with 0-2 years’ experience
  • Knowledge of compensation practices and principles, pay laws, and regulations
  • Intermediate skills in Excel (e.g. Pivot tables, V-Look Ups) preferred
  • Previous experience supporting annual compensation process either as a compensation analyst or HR business partner preferred
  • Experience managing sensitive / confidential data in a professional manner
  • Prior experience with a geographically dispersed workforce is a plus
  • Experience with Workday is a plus 
  • Additional professional qualifications include, but not limited to:
  • Customer Service oriented – high sense of urgency and professionalism 
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
