  • Grind parts in accordance to SOPs.


  1. Select proper infeeds and traverse feeds for finishing of various materials.
  2. Perform cylindrical grinding.
  3. Consistently grind to close tolerances of four decimal places or better (i.e.0.000X).
  4. Select proper holding devices for work. I.e. chucks, collets, faceplates, vices, sine plates, etc.
  5. Perform ID (inner diameter), OD (outer diameter and surface grinding.
  6. Deburr parts during machining operations.

  7. Maintain necessary records.

  8. Set-up and operate precision grinding equipment.

  9. Set-up and performing basic grinding operations on manual equipment.

  10. Identify cost savings.

  11. Perform preventive maintenance on grinding equipment.

  12. Inspect ground parts.

  13. Check work using precision measuring equipment, optical flats, micrometers, indicators, etc.

  14. Work from blueprints and/or set-up sheets.

  15. Work well with minimal supervision.

  16. Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements



  1. High School diploma or equivalent and completed Trade School or apprenticeship program or one (1) to three (3) years of related experience.
  2. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with precision grinders (surface and O.D.) honing and lapping equipment.
  3. Good knowledge of shop math.


  1. Frequent bending, lifting and standing for extended periods of time.

  2. Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs. from floor to bench.

  3. Occasional lifting to 50 lbs. with assistance.


  1. In accordance with FAA regulations, this is a safety sensitive job function and is therefore subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing.
  2. Capable of completing basic set-ups.
  3. Familiar with precision measuring equipment.

  4. Ability to complete basic set-up.

  5. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  6. Wear the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while performing tasks

  7. Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment.

  8. Participate in a minimum of one (1) Kaizen event per year. 


  • This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services.  U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required.  Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.

  • Perform preventative maintenance as required

  • Must follow all environmental policies and procedures when working with chemicals, oils, and solvents
