• Perform routine preparation of chemical according to Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) to meet production output

• Prepare and perform quality check on MALDI-TOF plates to meet FRU schedule output

• Purchase, handle, receive and maintain inventories for consumables/chemicals and ensure availability of consumables and chemical for production usage

• Manage and coordinate waste collection with appointed waste collector

• Liaise with vendor or Quality Assurance team and ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment and tools are carried out in a timely manner

• Maintain accurate records and documents in accordance to quality procedures (GMP, GDP, ISO) and regulatory compliance

• Liaise closely with the suppliers and other SCIEX sites on inventory, chemical quality or non-conformances issues

• Participate in activities for new product introduction and product transfer to ensure proper production support start-up

• Maintain and update Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for the laboratory according to ISO regulations

• Plan and provide trainings for final test specialists and new hires.

• Report all serious non-conformances in a timely manner

• Maintain good housekeeping and 5S in the laboratory

• Actively participate in any audits conducted (FDA 13485, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001)  in-house.

• Ensure compliance of operations within area of concern with all relevant EHS regulatory requirement and SCIEX safety policies, procedures and guidelines.

• Other duties/ ad hoc tasks as assigned


Job Requirements


• Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Science (Preferably in Chemistry) or equivalent

• Minimum 3 year hands on experience in preparation of chemicals and operating lab apparatus.

• Able and willing to work overtime on weekend when required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good team player, meticulous and good interpersonal skills

• Familiar with MS Excel/Powerpoint and Words
