Position Summary and Overview 

Position responsible for supporting proposal development, opportunity realization and resulting project execution for CDx projects requiring a Pathology Imaging (PI) solution. The role will develop the standard processes and activities required to develop a Digital Imaging solution aligned with the standard CDx project offering. This will entail an understanding of activity and time requirements as well as standard costs. Based upon this information, the role will be able to support the timely development of proposals and Statements of Work required for the CDx pipeline. Once a project has been initiated, the role will be an active project team member responsible for coordinating the PI activities to align with the overall project goals in collaboration with the Project Manager leading the Project Team. The position will be customer facing and therefore requires an individual with excellent communication and presentation skills. A current understanding of the companion diagnostic landscape is preferred.

Major Responsibilities
  • Development of standard processes in support of typical CDx project offering to enable swift turnaround of proposals and SOW development.
  • Ability to size / estimate the duration / scope of projects based on customer requirements
  • Support the Pharma Partnership BD team in the timely and accurate development of proposals and Statements of Work (SOW) including PI activities in companion diagnostic programs based upon the standard processes developed.
  • Lead coordination and alignment of PI CDx project activities in collaboration with the Project Manager as a core member of the Project Team
  • Knowledge to participate in the CDx study design to validate PI CDx solutions
  • Program Manage CDx PI solution development in alignment with CDx Project Management in line with the CDx Toll Gate process. 
  • Communicate PI strategic vision, future roadmaps and current portfolio to Pharmaceutical Partners particularly as it applies to the projects being developed.
  • Ability to assess the portfolio gaps when positioned against the leading competitors
  • Ability to listen to Pharma partner requirements and translate those into marketing and product level requirements for R&D teams, whilst benchmarking against current PI Portfolio offering
  • Work closely with R&D, Product Management, Project Management, RA / QA across all divisions of the business to align multiple Software Projects
  • Maintains an up to date view on market & competitor intelligence with a particular focus on how PI is being used in support of companion diagnostic development
  • Contribute to the CDx product roadmap


Job Requirements


Required Skills/Experience

  • A degree in Immunology or related field (MS or PhD highly preferred) 
  • Demonstrable experience in Digital Pathology
  • 5+ years experience in a client-facing role
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills
  • Project Management experience 
  • Ability to work independently and with commercial / research teams


  • Strong understanding of the software, hardware & scientific requirements involved in creating digital pathology solutions. Ability to size and estimate effort required in development of applications.
  • Ability to understand the validation requirements for bringing a digital pathology solution through regulatory submission in NA or EU
  • Comfort in presenting to senior level audience

  • The successful candidate will ideally hold an advanced degree in immunology or a related field 

Travel % 
  • Travel expectations within this role are significant (<50%)
