We are currently seeking a Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Wood Dale IL.

What you'll be doing in this role?:


  • Apply customer/IC payments including cash, ACH, wire and credit cards
  • Manage all adjustments
  • Process manual credit card payments and Oracle driven CC payments-daily
  • Assist with audits
  • Support credit teams
  • Contribute to projects as needed
  • Document AR processes and controls
  • Produce several AR/Credit reports (cash, accounting & month-end)
  • 4-4-5 close schedule, so required to work one Saturday per month

Job Requirements


What is required?:

  • 3-5 years of AR experiences within large companies
  • Must have worked with Oracle and have strong auto-cash knowledge
  • 2+ years of college course work
  • Fast paced environment, must be flexible, manage several tasks at once, problem-solver, creative thinking in order to improve internal processes, audit savvy, excellent communicator and team player
  • Occasional OT as needed
  • File management
  • MS Office skills (intermediate level)…Excel, Word and Access (a plus)
  • Strong understanding of Credit Management
  • Public company background
  • Recon accounts along with credit team
  • Issue credit memos for tax and service deductions as needed
  • General GL awareness and understanding of their in-flows and out-flows
  • Recon bank cash report to Oracle report
  • Daily cash report
  • Research discrepancies and resolve with credit teams and other parties as needed
  • Manage mail for team
  • Support our credit team and collection agency activities
  • Support Bankruptcy process (POC docs)
