Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Business Systems Analyst for Logistics, you will be responsible for the review logistics systems and lead in the design and implementation of systems solutions to help the organization operate efficiently and effectively. Write, update and/or assist with the development of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), identify testing scenarios, write and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Change Control approvals. 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze, design and implement information system improvements by interaction with internal users and customers to learn and document requirements to produce business requirements documents
  • Assess the suitability of information systems and liaise with end users, software vendors and programmers in order to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Identify, understand and plan for organizational and human impacts of planned systems, and ensure that new technical requirements are properly integrated with existing processes and skill sets
  • Write, update and/or assist with the development of current and new SOPs
  • Assist programmers during system development, e.g. provide As-Is and To-Be flowcharts, design documents and test scripts
  • Perform system testing and validation
  • Resolve end users system access and/or transactional issues and interface with additional internal/external resources as required
  • Conduct or assist with the deployment of system audits
  • Utilize Supply Chain Best-Practices knowledge to ensure Logistics Systems supports current and future operational growth
  • TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years): 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related work experience OR
  • Master’s degree in field with 0-2 years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years Supply Chain/Logistics experience or 5+ years Supply Chain/Logistics experience
  • Knowledge and skills: 

  • Comprehensive understanding of Material Handling, Supply Chain and Logistics processes
  • Comprehensive understanding with SAP Hana
  • Overall knowledge of global supply chain operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as high ethical standards
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities, organize complex requests, and resolve issues creatively
  • Organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and implement team projects
  • Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Excel
  • Physical requirements/abilities:

  • May be asked to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for several hours
  • Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions.
  • PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • APICS certification a plus
  • Experience working within Sarbanes-Oxley rules/regulations
  • SAP certification in MM, WM, EWM and/or S&D a plus
