The Business Development Manager develops new Biotech customers within the region by actively prospecting and qualifying specification opportunities. 
He/she uses his/her sales process knowledge and experience, his/her understanding of the Bioprocess development process to gain commercial opportunities in key process steps in customers’ antibody and recombinant protein drug pipelines. This is accomplished by proactively identifying and qualifying specification opportunities, positioning Pall technologies and capabilities, and directing technical specialists.

  • In conjunction with marketing, identify and develop new Biotech opportunities (from pipeline/drug tracking information or company start up level);
  • Generate sales leads & opportunities;
  • Demonstrate accountability & ownership;
  • Work in close relationship with sales support functions (specialists) to coordinate activities, account hand over when appropriate an maximise sales;
  • Work with marketing to track and report progress metrics for penetration of drug pipeline;
  • Establishing good relationships with all the territories customers at process  development levels;
  • Monitoring and reporting progress towards achieving projection ( specification wins, upscale product sales).

Job Requirements


Essential Qualifications/Education:
  • Degree (or equivalent), BS /BA in science/engineering ( Bio)
Essential Previous Experience:
  • 2-3 years minimum relevant experience preferably in Biotech industry as a sales representative
  • Technical aptitude for biopharmaceuticals
  • Ability to operate as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Competitive & natural sales characteristics 
  • Good listening skills & inquisitive attitude
  • Commercially focussed  &  self-starter.
  • Able to prioritize and set targets
  • Closing skills
