Major Responsibilities

  • Support all global support function leaders, drive projects/investments and cost analysis and help in process improvement.
  • Bring strong financial stability through closing process, internal controls, cost discipline and forecasting accuracy.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a more accurate cost management and Headcount reporting and controls process across all Selling Units including an investment model to support decision making with regard to Sales resource ramp-up.
  • Global Working Capital management (DSO, DPO and Inventory) drive and process harmonization.
  • Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting and other corporate policies.
  • Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports and recommendations.
  • Deploy targets and proactively work with stakeholders across the business to ensure risks are identified and properly counter measured.
  • Have significant input into LBS budget, forecasting and actual reporting processes including all related deliverables (Flash reports, FC & Actual Narratives, FC review files, Presidents letter inputs, budget decks, strategy financials).
  • Ensure that all Danaher adhoc request and deadlines are followed across LBS.
  • Conduct special analysis and projects (e.g. M&A) as per CFO guidance
  • Bring strong financial stability through closing process, internal controls, cost discipline and forecasting accuracy.

Job Requirements


Required Skills/Experience/Education

  • Experienced in working in an international environment.
  • Experience of working in a US organization and/or matrix structured business would be beneficial.
  • Track record of success and progression within the Finance function, especially in the areas of financial control, cost management, financial planning and forecasting, system & process improvement.
  • Experience of financial management in R&D and Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in leading and developing talent, build a high-performance team.
  • Experienced in Reporting, Forecasting and Consolidation processes.
  • Experience of working within a commercial business with an international remit in a Controller role or looking to take the next step in their career. 


  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA)  


  • Excellent planning and organization skills, a structured and process-oriented individual.
  • High level of commercial and finance acumen coupled with a hands-on attitude.
  • Must be self-motivated with ability to develop, encourage and lead a strong efficient team.
  • Open-minded and confident.
  • Development-oriented with focus on continuous improvements.
  • Comfortable working in a deadline driven reporting process environment.
  • Committed to continuous improvement by implementing and using DBS tools
