Pall Corporation is seeking an experienced and highly motivated process development scientist to join our Bioprocess Specialists Team. Our Bioprocess Specialists work collaboratively with our Business Development Managers (BDM) to successfully have Pall products specified in customers’ early-stage drug development process. This is a sales role which requires travel to customer sites.

The Bioprocess Specialist will be supporting our Southwest United States hub. The incumbent must live near this geography.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct lab trials and develop applications and processes using Pall Products in customers’ new drug development processes
  • Conduct technical consultations with customers and propose solutions
  • Educate and advise customers of the best suited technology; in-depth knowledge of downstream processing technologies and Pall products is a must
  • Perform and coordinate bench scale test work to demonstrate how to get the best out of Pall products
  • Generate the necessary technical documents for internal and customer use
  • Work closely with the BDM and other technology specialists to coordinate activities and maximize results
  • Increase sales by serving as Pall expert in Integrated Biotech processes to increase the number of applications that have Pall specified
  • Develop expertise by regular exchange of experiences, applications, and technology training
  • Work with marketing to track and report progress metrics for penetration of drug pipeline
  • Maintain up to date awareness of relevant technical development

Job Requirements


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent), MSc, or PhD in Science/Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience preferably in the Biotechnology industry
  • Current full driving license and passport
  • Willing to travel (> 50%)
  • In-depth knowledge of unit operations and practices relevant to Biotechnology customers and processes (DSP & USP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent presentation skills (conferences, events)
  • Ability to operate as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Prior experience with gene therapy, recombinant protein research, viral vaccines/continuous bioprocessing/Single-Use Technologies (SUT)
