Description

The BioProcess Specialist uses his/her Bioprocess knowledge and experience to win the application specifications  in key process steps in customers’  antibody and recombinant protein  drug pipelines, as directed  by the specialised sales force.  This is accomplished by technical consultations, lab trials on customer/Pall site and propose solution.

Core responsibilities 
  • Develop applications and processes with Pall Products in  customers new drug  development. This is accomplished by consulting, performing trials and propose solution.
Job specific responsibilities
  • Work in close relationship with the sales representative and other technology specialists, to coordinate the  activities and maximise result.
  • Be a Pall expert in Integrated Biotech processes – primary purpose to increase number of applications that have Pall specified and therefor increase Pall sales.
  • To educate and advise customers of best suited technology.   In depth knowledge of downstream processing technologies and Pall products is a must. 
  • Develop expertise by regular exchange of experiences, applications and technology training
  • Work with marketing to track and report progress metrics for penetration of drug pipeline.
  • Perform and coordinate bench scale test work to demonstrate how to get the best out of Pall products. Generate the necessary technical documents for internal and customer use.
  • Maintain up to date awareness of relevant technical developments
  • Reporting progress towards goals 

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Essential Qualifications/Education:
  • Degree (or equivalent), MSc or PhD in Science ( Bio)/Engineering ( Bio)
Essential Previous Experience:
  • 2-3 years minimum relevant experience preferably in Biotech industry
Knowledge & Key Skills:
  • In depth knowledge of unit operations and practices relevant to Biotech customers and processes ( DSP & USP)
  • High technical credibility
  • Commercial awareness /aptitude
  • Ability to plan and organise test work
  • Self-starter and self-motivated
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to give presentations at conferences, events.
  • Ability to operate as a member of a multidisciplinary team 
  • Bioprocess work experience in Biotech/Biopharm
  • Willing to travel ( > 50%)
  • Live in territory ( proximity)
  • Good interpersonal skills to motivate others 
  • Ethical and scientific behaviour
  • Current full driving license and passport
  • Prepared to travel abroad
  • Prepared to work unsociable hours and travel
