Beckman Coulter Life Science’s portfolio of Particle Counting and Characterization and Centrifugation products are integral to the workflows in discovery, development and production of biologic therapies.   

Our products accelerate the development of novel therapies with a strong focus on the area of cellular analysis. 

Our extensive portfolio of cellular analysis products and technologies focus on cell health and cell culture environment monitoring, which enables our customers to develop robust manufacturing processes.

The Biopharma Sales Specialist has key role in helping to promote our products in these workflows.  

He/She will work in a technical role to help our sales teams with the success of these products, in addition to working closely with the business unit as an integral part of this role.  

Primary responsibilities

Meet or exceed sales quota for designated products

Keep current on assigned market dynamics, application trends and competitive information

Participate in trade shows and local technical seminars as required

Provide training to sales team and work in the field visiting customers

New business development for Biopharma products

Develop and maintain relationships with Biopharma KOLs

Work with Business Unit on new product development

Write white papers and present at industry seminars

Job Requirements



BS in Scientific area such as biochemistry, chemistry, or biology, Master and/or PhD a plus


Located in large city with access to airport hub. 

Ideally in Biopharma hubs in Northeast or West Coast


US and Canada, potential for international travel in the future  

70% travel supporting sales team

Industry Experience

Working knowledge of Biopharma industry and labs

Understanding of Biopharma workflows in Drug Development

Understanding of Biopharma Compliance Requirements (Data Integrity, GxP)

Understanding of common analytical instruments used in Drug Development and QC.

Comfortable/familiar with using Analytical Software tools

Job Experience

Highly motivated and success driven

Excel in solution based selling

Action Oriented and self-driven for results

Solid understanding of tactical sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers) strongly preferred

Strong communication and presentation skills

Excellent time and territory management habit

Experience running experiments and writing white papers

Demonstrated track record of success ideally in Flow Cytometry Research or Clinical Diagnostics as a Sales Consultant or Sales Manager

Positive attitude – be part of the solution, not the problem

Adaptive to change

Successful track record in new business development a plus

Strong team player

Interest in becoming the specialist for their assigned product and a resource for the sales team

Experience with personal computer, e-mail, and Microsoft Office programs
