Description

Molecular Devices is seeking a Sales Professional responsible for the sales activities associated with the ImageXpress Pico Automated Imaging platform in the Boston territory.  A Sales Professional is required to build and maintain strong customer relationships directed toward growing Molecular Devices’ market share, revenue and profitability year over year.

Target Market
  • Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharma, Academic research labs, Contract labs, Government installations, some clinical labs

PRODUCT LINE:
  • ImageXpress Pico Automated Cell and Tissue Imaging and Analysis 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Achieve North America goals & targets, via proficient closing of Pico Imager business in the territory
  • Perform instrument and software demonstrations for customers onsite and remotely
  • Maintain an accurate & up-to-date customer database in Salesforce.com
  • Accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasting for the territory
  • Perform Lead generation activities
  • Attend and participate in Regional and Local Product Shows
  • Balance growth via both direct and distribution channel

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related Life Sciences discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of field sales experience Selling into the life science or drug discovery industry
Preferred: 
  • Knowledge of Research Microscopy Industry and Technology 
  •  Skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  •  CRM experience with Salesforce.com
  •  Record of accomplishment of successful Capital Equipment sales
