This position is responsible for ensuring customer collections are received according to agreed payment terms.  This self-motivated position performs Business to Business collections while working with management and Sales to deliver consistent customer service while reaching and exceeding monthly goals & company objectives.

  • Improve DSO to current company monthly/yearly goal 
  • Ensure all past due accounts have been contacted while enforcing agreed payment terms
  • Work with customers to schedule payment arrangements on upcoming and past due invoices
  • Convert accounts to ACH/Checks from credit card payments as well as promote electronic invoicing
  • Update account information to ensure contact and other required information is current
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding the monthly contact calls to customers
  • Resolve any invoice discrepancies in a timely manner to ensure payment is received appropriately
  • Communicate with field personnel to discuss any problem accounts/situations to meet a common goal

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, including superior telephone skills with an emphasis on professionalism and customer service
  • Ability to conduct outbound/inbound calls in a clear and professional manner
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, and fax
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize duties and follow-through completely with assigned tasks
  • Ability to make sound decisions to improve DSO
  • Demonstrated use of technology in collections activities
  • Requires ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and co-workers
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excel, Outlook, Word, Internet 
  • Effective negotiator
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong documentation skills 
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • Ability to operate independently and in a team setting

  • Associates Degree in an Accounting related field
  • Experience in Collections  
  • Accounts Payable experience in Manufacturing industry
  • ERP experience 
  • Bilingual French-Canadian fluency

  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, determined, persistent, persuasive, professional, detailed oriented, natural relationship builder
  • Must communicate timely and accurately with management and internal departments such as Sales and Field Service, Customer Service, Finance, Bids and Contracts, HR, IT and Operations.
  • Must create and maintain strong relationships with customers and key buyer influencers
