Summary of Position:
  • The Associate Project Engineer will be a part of the project engineering team to focus on technical aspects and assist to implement project schedules to meet deadlines. 
Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
  • Assists on multiple, fast-paced projects with an eye toward quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Understand the established processes and tools McCrometer uses to assist with project plans and changes.
  • Technical resource for the project team. 
  • Review customer purchase orders, project documentation, and project specifications.
  • Generate and assemble work instructions for production areas.
  • Ensure countermeasures are in place and that appropriate root-cause resolution is initiated.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communication.
  • Consistently exercise sound judgment in matters regarding budget, scope, and project plan.
  • Build BOMs and drawings
  • Utilize company ERP system to create bill of materials
  • Prepare dimensional drawings using computer-aided design software.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's in Engineering required
  • Some experience with Solidworks or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of engineering experience preferred 
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Office Suite required. Knowledge in use of personal computers and common business productivity tools such as word processors, spreadsheets, databases, etc.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality.
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to perform both independent or team-based tasks.
  • Ability to present complex or difficult messages clearly and persuasively 
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks simultaneously. 
  • Ability in analytical thinking.

Work Environment:

The work environment consists of an indoor, work or home office environment with good ventilation, adequate lighting, and low noise levels.
