Description

The Associate Graphic Designer is responsible for producing creative, high-quality print and web-based marketing assets and collateral. This includes tradeshow materials, press-quality print materials, PowerPoint presentations, digital and web-optimized images. This role will also be responsible for adhering to and enforcing the company's brand standards. Must have a good understanding of design, typography, photo-editing and the commercial printing process. 

  • Develop creative print and digital designs for both internal and external customers
  • Develop design of corporate tradeshow materials including: large format graphics, print and digital invitations, advertisements, event signage, attire logos etc.
  • Assist in web design, icon design, photo editing and email campaign designs
  • Update and maintain existing collateral to new brand standards.
  • Produce visually exciting corporate presentations and templates in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ensure all artwork produced meets the needs, requirements, and brand values of the company
  • Responsible for all print requirements including the bidding process and preparing art files for the printer.
  • Enforce logo usage, brand consistency, accuracy and compliance with desired standards.
  • Maintain all up-to-date design assets in the Marketing Archive library.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE  
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and photo editing skills required. 
  • Proficient in Office software such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Highly proficient at creative design in PowerPoint required.
  • Knowledge of web image optimization required
  • Familiarity with color correction, pre-flighting and preparing files for commercial printers and general print production required.
  • Strong portfolio that shows experience with a range of programs and materials required.

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE  
  • General understanding of tradeshow design concepts preferred.
  • Prior HTML experience a plus.

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with design (both print and digital) in a corporate environment required. 

EDUCATION 
  • Associates Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or a related field, or equivalent experience required

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
  • Occasional overnight trips ranging from 1-3 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays may be required.
