The Application Engineer will provide design & costing support to Pall FTAP technical inside sales, sales account managers & channel partners in the Americas, for made-to-order pressure vessel projects, based on EPC / client specifications and Pall applications experience, including preparing RFQ packs for Sourcing and evaluating quotations from potential vendors 50%
• Engage with Sales teams and clients to develop and present solutions in a timely fashion, and support sales in securing orders
• Ensure an effective handover of “ready to go” projects to operations on receipt of order
• Advise commercial management on technical risk identification and mitigation associated with each project
During order execution, act as liaison between Operations appointed Project Manager, sales and the client to ensure successful delivery on time, to expectation and within budget 20%
Provide technical and commercial support to customers, channel partners and field based Sales Team for Pall Fluid Technology & Asset Protection markets 30%
Coordinate with Technical Inside Sales and EPC commercial team to align with standard work and application of standard methodologies
• To ensure customer satisfaction
• To liaise with other Pall facilities as needed to meet customer expectations
• To meet the departmental and individual key performance indicators agreed with your Line Manager
• To ensure all enquiries and orders are dealt with in accordance with the relevant parts of the quality manual
• To maintain records of activities and store them within the appropriate systems

Job Requirements


Minimum Requirements:
• Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree preferred with 5 or more years appropriate experience in ASME pressure vessel design Section VIII Division 1.
• Experience working with 3rd party suppliers and vendors
• Experience with engineering bid specification review and compliance
Position Competencies:
• Understanding of the design & function of Pall filter technologies used in FTAP markets, including an appreciation of the fundamental requirements for pressure vessel design & manufacture
• Able to prepare simple General Assembly drawings and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams using CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, CATIA or similar)
• Understand the commercial implications of product selection & design decisions, including risk identification & mitigation
• Identification of technical “red lines” during negotiations with clients and vendors
