Description




I.        GENERAL SUMMARY & OVERALL CHALLENGES



The Product and Application Manager helps maximizing the turnover by supporting Marketing & Sales Manager and dealers network with expertise on products and applications, performing demonstrations, writing specifications and configurations for complex quotations.

Actively seeks contact with Dealers/Customers to obtain feedback on existing and planned products to improve market position and give suggestions on opportunities and product positioning.

Cooperate with the Division (BU) to address product issues and necessary developments in the most efficient way. Interact with Marketing for event organization (launches, workshops, exhibitions) and provide market feedback (competition, pricing, features).

Supports trainings and definition of demo equipment for dealers. Cooperate with BU service team as link for the local service engineer.


 



II.        KEY RESPONSIBILITIES





  1. Sales Support:

To maximize the turnover, in close cooperation with the Sales Reps and the Sales Managers, actively support the Sales activities such as demonstrations, product and application trainings, product presentations.

Product specifications and complex quotations

Create product & application material to help the sales force to increase the confidence and knowledge on the products & application.




  1. Product & Application Plan & Activities

Using an agreed European Methodology and its tools carry out the agreed Action Plans & activities in the territory to achieve Sales and Profitability targets. Help to evaluate product sales trends in comparison with competitive products. Track the reasons why we win and lose the deals. Direct appropriate actions to increase market shares. Set priorities and push product promotion to optimize results. Propose countermeasures in case sales forecast might not be hit with high priority.




  1. Customer support at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology). 30% of the time

Brick walling this important Leica account (Centre of Excellence). Support, train the users on our products and new applications, demo new products, carry out regular visits to already equipped customers to continuously monitor requirements and satisfaction levels, business trends and competitor activity.




  1. Marketing support

In close collaboration with the marketing department and the sales force, support events such as congresses, workshops and symposia. Collect and share information about pricing and competitor's features. Actively support VOC (Voice Of Customers) and collect customer feedback on new product requirements and/or future applications and provide consolidated information.

Trainings for dealers and for customers

Demonstrations

Competitors monitoring and analysis

Definition of configurations of demo units for distributors

Technical support to the team Key Account Aid & Tenders (DSA)

I.        REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION




  1. Professional Experience



  • Proven track record of growing business faster than market for at least 3 years;


  • Experience in selling through distribution channels


  • Excellent in modern sales methods


  • High level of energy to drive change


  • Experience in working in an international environment


b)  Education


  • University degree in a relevant discipline is required; an MBA or other advanced degree is ideal.


c)  Language



  • English


  • Another language would be a plus

     

d) Travel (required estimated % of time)



  • ~50%
