Description

  • Design and execute the application support strategy for the assigned segment in line with the business model
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to plan and conduct training courses and workshops for current and potential customers
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through development of LC MS based analytical methods, troubleshooting and telephonic/web based technical support to users
  • Design and conduct research experiments to ensure that quality mass spectrometry data is generated to support the pre-sales activities for SCIEX mass spectrometers
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, data presentation at scientific conferences and technical write-ups
  • Ensure that the team is maximizing instrument usage to meet productivity targets and contribute to win rate
  • Participate in conduct and delivery of regular trainings/refreshers for sales and service teams
  • Deliver quality support to users to ensure customer satisfaction leading to development, nurturing and retention of key customer base
  • Coach junior members of the team with ongoing feedback
  • Provide strategic competitive information and updates on ongoing trends in the vertical segment
  • Create and monitor development plans of direct reports
  • Participate in regional/global forums of SCIEX and Danaher related to the assigned market segment
  • Establish a strong team by grooming successors within the segment
  • Generate IP for the organisation based on research done on SCIEX instruments
  • Support the smooth running of the Demo Lab in the Centre of Excellence

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Doctorate/Post Doc in Analytical Chemistry/LifeSciences/Pharma
  • 10-12 years of relevant experience in Lifesciences or related industry

•         In-depth understanding of analytical techniques in research, specific to mass spectrometry

•         He/she should have hands on experience related to instrument and sample preparation techniques related to Mass Spec, HPLC, GC, LCMS etc

  • Exposure to a technical support function in a business environment of sales of high value capital equipment is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral); Strong presentation skills
  • Leadership skills; Experience and ability to build relationships, influence people; good negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Demonstrated experience of being a team player
  • Good command over the English Language
  • Proficiency in MS-Office
  • Flexibility to travel frequently at short notice
