Description

As an APPLICATION SCIENTIST in product development at Sciex, you will work in collaboration with research and development teams in the advancement of mass spectrometry technology. This role requires you to:


  • Assist in defining, developing and thoroughly testing new hardware and software products.

  • Validate the utility of potential new products for our customers.

  • Aid in the launch of new products.

  • Perform application development directed at advancing the use of LC/MS and MS/MS in new market areas. 

  • Report results at national and international scientific conferences and meetings where applicable.

Job Requirements



Qualifications


  • M.Sc./Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry or Biochemistry and/or 3 to 5 years of experience in mass spectrometric analysis

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experience of particular interest (one or more of the following):  knowledge of drug discovery/drug development including ADME, DMPK, bioanalytical assays, knowledge of applied markets including environmental, food testing, forensics/toxicology, clinical

  • Experience in sample preparation and method development for quantitative or qualitative mass spectrometry applications

  • Understanding of validation requirements for regulated environments
