Description

Analyst II Material/ Planning



Location: Indianapolis, IN




The FG Planner will be the responsible for the overall
direction of material parts inside the factory. This includes, but is not
limited to, ensuring material parts are sized correctly using the Kanban
guidelines established by the plant, understanding true customer demand and
adjusting the part flow accordingly, and driving problem solving to enable
inventory reduction and availability throughout the plant. This person will be
closely connected to the sales and operation planning process and will be responsible
for analyzing output from that sales and operation planning process in order to
drive the material system appropriately. This position will be closely tied to
the manufacturing cell in order to understand build rate and how that compares
to customer take time.

  • This position will be responsible for communicating
    effectively with all buyers in the plant to ensure parts are ordered
    appropriately based on changes to the material system. 
  • This position will be
    responsible for interacting with the Operations team to ensure parts are being
    built at the correct rate to sustain high on time delivery to the customer. 
  • This position will be a champion for the material process in the plant. They
    will promote problem solving at the point of impact, promote coaching and
    mentoring where gaps are identified, and promote teamwork to achieve plant
    metrics.
  • This position will be responsible for two Key Performance
    Indicators (KPI’s) across the plant; On Time Delivery and Inventory. This
    position will be responsible for communicating issues across the organization
    and working effectively to problem solve solutions.
  • This position will be an analytics expert on the material
    team. They will own discovery, interpretation, and communication of meaningful
    patterns in the data. They will be able to use existing tools to gather data
    and drive problem solving. This position will use data to drive decisions and
    action.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ Years of Experience OR
  • Master’s Degree with 3+ Years of Experience
  • Proven experience planning and controlling inventory
  • Proven experience with material planning
  • Previous experience with injection molding manufacturing
    environment preferred
  • Experience with supply chain and inventory management
    systems
  • Experience with the Sales and Operation Planning process
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across teams and upwards
    through the organization
  • Detailed oriented and focused on delivering value to the
    factory
  • Strong Computer Skills Required
