Title:                           Analyst I Quality Control (Iris)

Reporting to               QC Supervisor (Iris)  
  • The QC testing of products and raw materials in accordance with SOP’s, the review of results to provide a free to fill status, system release and generation of COA’s in a timely manner, as appropriate.
  • Batch History Record review and release, as required.
  • Responsibility for generation of data including reporting and follow up on OOS results and the creation of NCPR reports or deviations, if necessary.
  • Ensure that GLP and safety standards are maintained.
  • Real Time stability testing completed per real time schedule and in accordance to SOP.
  • Responsibility for rotated laboratory duties including; - calibration, temperature chart monitoring, maintenance programmes, managing laboratory disposable stocks, housekeeping, autoclave waste management etc.
  • Ensure that QC equipment and analysers are maintained in accordance with SOP’s.
  • Ensure personal training records are maintained and updated, as necessary.
  • Prepare and update QC procedures when required.
  • Liaison with other departments on existing products and new product transfer etc.
  • Training of new employees.
  • Any other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the QC Team Lead / QC Manager.
As part of the Urinalysis Transfer Project:
  • Fit out of required laboratory space to include necessary environmental controls and requisite storage space in line with appropriate Quality and Safety requirements.
  • Procurement of required equipment (test analysers, fridges, freezers etc.)
  • Establishment of procedures for all QC processes to include raw material, in-process, finished product and stability testing.

Job Requirements


Education/ Experience

•       Bachelor Degree with previous laboratory experience desirable.

  • Good working knowledge of GMP & Quality & Safety standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment e.g. analytical balance, pH Meter, Pipettes.
  • Excellent record keeping and high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good Computer Skills.
