Design, develops, formats, implements and manages technical writing and content creation, to meet the demands for the production of labeling documents, manuals, testing procedures and operational specifications, including the creation and maintenance of documentation and illustration for hardware and software user’s guides, service and programming manuals and electronic media including on-line help. Manages revisions of technical documentation and delivery of global labeling and content. The function may include configuration and maintenance of content and translation management systems. Ensures integrity of data and document use, which may include customer data and quality and regulatory data following ISO standards to internal quality and production standards. Job Requirements


Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience. 
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Framemaker
  • Experience in creating and revising Multilanguage product inserts
  • Experience in creating artwork for labels in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical environment is preferred, but not required for this role
  • Experience working with translated documentation is a plus
  • Understanding of Diagnostics or Healthcare Industry with heavy emphasis on understanding of labeling requirements and compliance preferred
  • Experience working with print suppliers and material specification sheets is a plus
  • Exceptional people and project management skill set - responsible for timeline & deliverables 
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across business functions
  • Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and to be proactive in seeking out opportunities to help others

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Help with design and development of product labels, IFUs and Illustrations
  • Update cartons, labels, and IFUs to meet current standards
  • Proofread Documentation
  • Ensure design and production methods/processes are executed in a manner which supports the Quality Policy and all ISO Quality System procedures and guidelines
  • Use design control processes to identify and define labeling requirements and provide traceability.
  • Originate change documentation (Change orders, Minor Impact Decision Forms)
  • Participate in cross functional projects; lead labeling activities; review project documentation; assess necessary resources and estimate timelines for documentation development, review and translation.
  • Create & review documents for translation accuracy, style, clarity, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Identify labeling translation requirements, prepare and manage translation projects to completion working with our Management team.
  • Lead projects to improve departmental processes that require cooperation from other functional groups.
  • Prioritize work load to manage competing demands and ensure timelines and objective are achieved

The ideal candidate will be able to gather and document labeling requirements, interview product developers, technical support and marketing managers to obtain necessary information, and distill this information into detailed, accurate, professional documentation. The Senior Technical Documentation role is key to our customer’s use of our products and satisfaction.  In addition, you will be responsible for preparing, tracking, and finalizing document translation projects as required.
