Description

The Solution Architect: Core HR role serves as the Workday Core HR Subject Matter Expert responsible for consulting across functions to gather requirements, develop solutions, and to troubleshoot complex production issues.  This role also owns security, access, compliance, reporting, and organization management across Workday. The role is responsible for the end to end delivery of projects and serves as the Core HR Functional Architect.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all stages of Workday Core HR projects, security and Reporting from a requirements definition gathering, to project planning and implementation
  • Provide a proactive interface between the Core HR council and the Support Services Management organization to ensure effective coordination and delivery of work
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues
  • Act as lead Subject Matter Expert within the Workforce Management, Leave, Organization Management, and Onboarding functional areas providing thought leadership throughout the Workday ecosystem
  • Act as lead Subject Matter Expert within the Security, Reporting and Organizational Management, providing leadership throughout the Workday ecosystem
  • Analyze, define and document complex business requirements and processes
  • Configure complex requirements or fixes
  • Leads design and review sessions / workshops with technical and functional resources
  • Understand the scope and details of project plan and is able to identify and communicate the need for resources for tasks in assigned areas of responsibility
  • Manage multiple, parallel projects using exceptional organizational and time management techniques to successfully complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate functional knowledge and experience with HR data and Master Data Management
  • Monitor progress of tasks against plan, and reports status to leadership on project issues
  • Suggest functional improvements and proactively addresses issues.  Answers inquiries in a timely basis
  • Demonstrates Workday knowledge and participates in training and development initiatives to keep abreast of current trends and practices
  • Contributes to knowledge management through activities such as sharing documented lessons learned, Q&A, documented deliverables, and regularly posting best practices
  • Understands downstream impact to the overall business and to other technology areas (e.g. integrations)

Security:

  • Ownership of security design and configuration across Workday
  • Responsible for reviewing / approving security requests
  • Responsible as architect for design of complex security requirements
  • Creating, documenting and maintaining proper SOX and/or internal controls
  • Maintain Workday security documentation
  • Conduct internal security audits and participate in SOX and/or internal audits where required
  • Define security and data privacy protocols and verify that the protocols are being followed across impacted platforms

Reporting:

  • Define development standards and communicate best practices to team
  • Work with HR Solution Architects to understand report requirements and build reports to requirement specifications
  • Provide oversight to HCM Functional Support team during the design, build and testing of new reports
  • Work with Technology Solution Architect to maintain a global report inventory
  • Create and deliver ad hoc and custom reports as requested by HR leadership
  • Create and maintain calculated fields used for reporting

Organization Management:

  • Provide oversight, testing and approval to HCM Technical Support team for organizational maintenance updates (e.g., reorganizations, mass loads)
  • Coordinates Workday release management tasks
  • Log / maintain tickets in ticket tracking system

Qualifications

 Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HRIS or information technology with demonstrated skills in Core HR, Reporting and Security, specifically in Workday

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Background in and strong understanding of broad HR systems architecture and data flow
  • Bachelor Degree in HR or Information Technology desired
  • Extensive knowledge of best-practice business process and technologies for HR functions, including core HR, Security and Reporting
  • Good foundation in IT Project methodologies and best practices
  • Ability to work and coordinate with 3rd Parties on data related inquiries
  • Has worked in a multi-operating company environment with proven experience in large scale annual programs
  • Strong problem-solving skills to determine root cause of technical problems with the ability to document effectively, escalate appropriately, and resolve in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and resourcefulness to see tasks and initiatives through to completion with limited precedence and minimal guidance.
  • Collaborative team player who demonstrates flexibility and can-do attitude as part of a motivated, high-performance HR Systems Team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority to promote alignment and gain consensus.
  • Demonstrated ability to answer technical questions for non-technical users and explain things in a way that a layperson will understand.
  • Broad range of network and desktop knowledge, including intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of explaining procedures clearly and writing technical and end user documentation.
  • Training design and delivery experience strongly preferred. Ability to interpret business needs into system, process improvement, and/or training solutions
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects, is organized and dependable
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills

Danaher Corporation Overview

On July 19, 2018, Danaher announced its intention to spin-off the Dental Platform to form a new publicly traded dental company.  The new company “DentalCo” (to be named later) will create one of the largest and most innovative dental companies in the world.  The benefits of this spin-off will allow the Dental business to be more impactful, with greater focus around organic and inorganic growth; be more agile and quick to respond to changing market environments; allow increased access to capital to innovate and invest in clinical and practice workflows; as well as, allow for significant career opportunities for associates and leaders.  DentalCo will be a public entity traded on the NYSE.
