The primary role of the Warehouse Specialist II, performs a variety of duties in: Receiving, shipping, issuing, handling, and accounting for inventory stock.

Major Responsibilities
  • Perform all tasks associated with the receipt and shipment of materials, supplies and products.
  • Perform Inspection of some incoming materials to assure conformance to written specifications.
  • Perform general warehouse tasks as necessary to support internal and external Leica Biosystems functions.
  • Create and reconcile daily inventory counts per communicated schedule. 
  • Ensures inventory accuracy through timely inventory transactions and accuracy of data entry
  • Minor handyman duties in and around the office

Job Requirements


  • High School Diploma/GED or higher.
  • Attention to detail; demonstrates a high degree of accuracy
  • General office and computer skills, with experience using MS Excel.
  • Self motivated individual able to work independently and demonstrated ability to work on a team.
  • Prior warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment with experience performing material transactions using traditional inventory control systems.
  • International Shipping Experience. Specifically knowledge of Bill of Lading, Electronic filings and Commercial Invoices
  • Experience operating a forklift
Desired Skills/Experience
  • ERP System experience, SAP preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of inventory count programs and schedules
