WH Voice Engineer Position Description: Provide engineering support of Pall Corporation’s global VoIP (Voice over IP) services and underlying network connectivity and hardware. Successful applicant will execute Pall IT organization’s global strategy for design, implementation, and technical support of existing on-premise IP voice systems and planned UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) solution.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work with external providers to test and implement Internet-based global voice solution.
  • Provide network support for global VoIP phone system and troubleshoot voice quality problems as required.
  • Collect and analyze user requirements and generate IT-approved voice/network solutions.
  • Support MPLS and Internet-based IPSec Wide Area Network.
  • Work with local IT personnel to support wired and wireless LAN environments at global Pall sites.
  • Monitor a voice/network incident queue and work trouble tickets.
  • Utilize and maintain voice/network monitoring tools and respond promptly and appropriately to alerts.
  • Work with external suppliers on voice/network planning, implementation, and support activities.
  • Track voice/network spending and work with Director to plan annual budget.
  • Communicate and work with IT support and engineering teams.

Job Requirements


Working knowledge and experience:
  • IP Packet Analysis and troubleshooting
  • MPLS Networking
  • BGP Routing Protocol
  • Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN) and IPSec Protocol
  • Stateful Inspection and Next-Generation Network Firewalls
  • Cisco Routers and Switches
  • Cisco IOS Command Line
  • Cisco Access Control Lists
  • Multi-factor authentication implementation and management

Preferred experience:
  • UCaaS Integration/Implementation
  • RADIUS and TACACS Authentication/Authorization
  • Cisco Wireless Access Points and Controllers
  • Cisco-based Client and Site-to-Site VPN Tunneling
Basic Qualifications and Certifications: 
  • 5+ years VoIP and QoS technical support
  • 3+ years network engineering/technical support
  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent
  • VoIP Fundamentals and QoS
  • TCP/IP Fundamentals

Preferred network certifications:
  • Cisco CCNP
  • Cisco CCIE
