Description

The Transportation Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the shipment and delivery of ChemTreat products.  The Transportation Supervisor should have fundamental knowledge of LTL/TL, Parcel, Bulk, and White Glove delivery services.  This position will also be responsible for leading coordinators in all delivery modes and driving continuous improvement processes and strategies that promote operational excellence across the ChemTreat support function; The Transportation Supervisor will assist/lead in the management of costs for all delivery modes as well as carrier performance against identified KPI's.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage performance and promote development of Transportation coordinators. 
  • Ensure the coordination of shipments to satisfy on-time delivery, quality, and safety KPI’s.
  • Work closely and communicate with vendors, sales force, and other departments as necessary to develop and implement vendor and delivery strategy.
  • Monitor vendor performance and promote continuous improvements through internal processes and vendor relationships.
  •  Develop and implement transportation and vendor strategy for materials to meet departmental goals and mitigate common cost drivers.
  • Promote problem solving and the resolution of vendor discrepancies, price, and delivery issues in a timely manner.
  • Lead initiatives to manage shipments across multiple transportation modes. 
  • Proactively identify and conceive projects for continuous improvement and drive efficiencies through organized action plans. 
  • Effectively lead cross-functional teams by driving project planning, implementation, and communication.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • 7-10 years of Logistics/Transportation/Distribution experience
  • Experience in managing and negotiating transportation contracts
  • APICS, CPSM, or similar certification preferred, but not required.
