Description

Position Overview:


This position leads the equipment wellness initiative, including preventative maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and recommendations for long-term improvements


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety standards on the manufacturing floor 
  • Maintain a clean work area for safe and efficient operation
  • Read, comprehend and strictly follow God Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), manufacturing Instructions (MI’s) and other required documents
  • Set up, operate and maintain a variety of packaging and production equipment
  • Troubleshoot parts and equipment problems; and performs repairs in:

o   Mechanical problems

o   Pneumatic problems

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, but is not responsible for major rebuilds such as repair/replacement of mechanical drive train or power supply components
  • Remove and replace perishable parts and adjust as necessary for cleaning, set-up and operation of assigned equipment
  • Responsible for various record keeping activities, such as:

o   Visual management

o   Productivity and efficiency Logs

  • Completes various Quality Control tests to assure proper machine function


Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of similar manufacturing/production experience
  • 1+ year(s) of experience required in mechanical and/or pneumatic troubleshooting 
Preferred: 
  • 1+ year(s) of automation production experience
  • 1+ year(s) of FDA regulated industry experience
  • 5S/Lean Production Experience

Abilities: 
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to independently solve mathematical equations
  • Knowledge of FDA requirements for record keeping
  • Independent, creative, and solution-focused problem solving
  • Leadership in quality improvements while meeting customer demand
  • Strong communication in English (Reading, writing, and verbal)
