Description

In this role the Manufacturing Techinican will assist the Manufacturing Scientists with manual processes of handing chemical reaction processes including isolation, purification, transportation, storage, receiving following standard operating procedure in an ISO 9001 facility. A highlight of the job duties include
  • Work under the supervision of a chemist
  • Monitor chemical processes and test the quality of products to make sure that they meet standards and specifications
  • Set up and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Prepare chemical solutions
  • Conduct chemical and physical experiments, tests, and analyses
  • Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses
  • Prepare technical reports, graphs, and charts, and summarize results
  • Maintains a clean and safe lab environment in compliance to environment, health, and safety policies and orders, maintains, and appropriately disposes of lab supplies, consumables, and chemicals.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Able to operate manual and electric fork lifts, 
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Comfortable working with flammable liquids and solid hazardous chemicals under supervision and training in a chemical manufacturing facility
  • Willing to operate complex scientific equipment for reagent manufacturing
  • Able to follow standard operating procedure and have solid understanding of product quality;  
  • High School Graduate or equivalent with 2+ Years of Experience required
  • Prior experience in a Reagent Manufacturing environment or technical related field is preferred.
  • Laboratory based experience in chemistry and a mechanical aptitude is highly desirable.
