Job Requirements


Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:
The position is responsible for selling the SCIEX range of products, services and solutions that requires specialized knowledge in order to achieve sales targets by providing accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts for the Sales division.

Managing Sales Territory (SA, WA & NT)
• Establish, develop and maintain key account and general customer relationships through technical support and sales approach
• Ascertain customers’ needs and match them with the SCIEX solution(s)
• Create customer awareness, recommend product types and participate in SCIEX Solution presentations
• Negotiate sales terms within the organizational policy guidelines
• Provide technical advice and coordinate customer needs within the SCIEX customer groups
• Achieve sales targets assigned by the Company
• Liaise extensively with external customers
• Provide accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts for the Sales division
• Report monthly on actual orders and sales relative to the plan with variance analysis
• Monitor and report on competitive activities and their strategies
• Interact closely with Sales, Marketing, Application Chemists and Service Engineer peers
• Communicate with local, regional and global management teams

Job Skills
• Strong technical skills
• Possess in depth market and business knowledge for the various market segments
• Effective communication skills to clearly articulate technical and product information to both internal and external customers, especially at higher management levels
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, make appointments, plan schedules and coordinate efforts with Sales Personnel as well as other Service and Support personnel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Job Knowledge
• In-depth industry knowledge
• Technical knowledge in both Omics and small molecule analysis using LC-MS/MS and other mass spec related products
• Understanding of customer business, applications, and other needs
• Understanding of customer decision making process and key decision makers and influencers
