General Description:

Chemtreat is looking for the right individual to step into our fast-paced, challenging environment as our Information Systems Support Specialist. You’ll be working

one-on-one with users, troubleshooting issues and finding solutions to help them stay productive. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:  

Chemtreat is seeking an IS Support Specialist experienced with all aspects of workstation/laptop equipment, onboarding and off boarding of users in a corporate environment, knowledgeable in computers, cellphones, software, and networking concepts to provide employees with the right equipment, services, and training to reach their full productivity. This individual will own the IS responsibilities for onboarding/off boarding of employees using a Service Desk ticketing system which includes deployment/setup and retrieval of all workstation equipment. Ownership of computer asset management, cellphone management, and will conduct user training classes. In addition, the role requires some light server administrative work in Active Directory. Individuals interested in this role need to have experience teaching groups of people and creating class materials. Must be able to create and update standard order of work documents and procedures. Should be professional, courteous and have a passion for the user community, making for a positive experience for all employees as they come in contact with Information Systems.

• Deploy and retrieve all IS equipment including computer, monitor, docking station, keyboard, mouse, local printer, and desk phone, cellphone, etc.
• Onboard/offboard employees
• Configure/setup of computers using server imaging software and install  additional local and client/server applications for computers following standard of work documentation
• Manage and track computer assets for the company which includes remote and corporate office employees
• Manage and track cellphone equipment (requires working with a service provider for upgrades and transfers of phone numbers)
• Work Service Desk ticketing system by prioritizing, accurately documenting and updating daily for new hire/department change/termination request
• Conduct classes and prepare materials to train groups of employees on IS services and other subjects as needed
• Create and update standard order of work and procedure documents for the job responsibilities
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
• Improve employee perception and satisfaction with onboarding/offboarding process
• Have interest in furthering education to stay technically relevant with current technology

Job Requirements


Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience configuring Windows XP/7/8/10, Office 2010/2013/2016/Office 365, Cisco Jabber instant messaging, antivirus software, remote control software, Cisco VPN client, and other software
• Experience with configuration setup for laptops, docking stations, desktops, tablets, monitors, local printers, network printers, cellphones, and Cisco desk phones
• Knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Group Policies, Imaging software, Exchange
• 1-2years of experience as an agent on Service Desk ticketing system
• Knowledge of Footprints Ticketing, LANDesk Ticketing, or LANDesk Client Management a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills such as telephony skills, communication skills, presentation skills and active listening and customer-care
• Ability to instruct and create/provide subject matter materials for group trainings of employees
• Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced, changing work environment
• Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work time efficiently
• The position may require some physical activity such as lifting and moving computer equipment into place or crawling in tight spaces
• Spanish a plus but not required

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Degree (preferred but not required) 2- 4 year degree or equivalent work experience

o Comp TIA Network+
o Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in Office 2010 or above
o Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in Windows 7/8/10
o Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)

o Other Microsoft certifications
o Apple certifications
o Hardware vendor certifications
• Teaching Certifications (a plus not required)
• Teaching Experience Required
