JOB SUMMARY: The Supervisor, Production position is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing shop floor associates to ensure that production is running efficiently, while supporting the goals and directives of the company and department.  Provide direction and training to less experienced manufacturing operators and set-up personnel.

  • Assign specific duties to leads and monitor personnel within all manufacturing associates to assure that daily goals are met.
  • Manage work assignments for operators, set-up personnel and tech-leads.
  • Attend Daily Management meetings
  • Issue job orders to the machines that are fully kitted with bar stock, ITK and tool kit.
  • Update production boards with current job running on the machines.
  • Record cycle times from each machine
  • Input cycle times and daily count numbers into machine data log to get machine efficiency
  • Input data for scrap rate, delivery, efficiency and productivity on to +QDIP board for manufacturing.
  • Gather the downtime from the machines and the reason.
  • Gather machine set-up time from each set-up person.
  • Review associates clock in’s/outs in ADP.
  • Be able to identify rejects and errors in the manufacturing area.
  • Identify areas of improvement 
  • Adhere to all safety requirements associated with duties and location.

Job Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum three (3) years of Lead or Supervisor experience in manufacturing or production type environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as operating procedures, general instructions, technical brochures, safety rules, employee handbook, company policies, departmental procedures, etc.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office and minimum one (1) year experience with excel
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds

  • College level machining classes and/or formal CNC training preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively, present information and respond to questions from coworkers, management and customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to apply common sense, understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or blueprint form. The ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.  Certain qualities, including self-confidence, motivation, decisiveness, and flexibility, as well as the ability to apply sound business judgment are important
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Support team environment and all production related activities.
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination
  • Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers
