Ormco BV in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, is the European head-office and Distribution Center for Ormco and hosts different departments for Ormco as well as KaVoKerr and Nobel Biocare.

In Amersfoort currently work approx. 175 employees.

The employee hired for this role will be contracted by Ormco B.V. and located in Amersfoort.


The associate in this position has a primary scope but not limited to the value chain of Distribution processes, including all non-standard distribution processes like Bands, Insignia, Marketing-material, stock-control, etc.
The associate is responsible for coordinating the daily distribution activities and for providing exceptional customer service both internally as well as externally.  The associate will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits.
The goal is to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company’s overall market share. In addition the associate performs their duties in a manner that meets the company’s operating standards, compliance programs and quality requirements in the most efficient and cost effective manner.  The associate will support all site operations for Ormco and other future acquisitions.

Essential Functions

  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage area both physically as well as systematically through ERP systems.
  • Direct, coordinate, and implement the work plan for the department; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities and projects; monitor work flow, review and evaluate work products, methods, and procedures
  • Communicate job expectations and coach associates.
  • Review and evaluate assigned team performance; coaching is crucial to support associate development plans for growth and to meet goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Quality and Safety policies and procedures
  • Confer and coordinate actives to support other departments
  • Identify areas of improvement and lead through DBS innovative process and procedure changes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for distribution activities; identify resource needs; recommend and implement policies and procedures
  • Prepare and present reports as directed
  • Establish and maintain a working environment conducive to positive morale, quality, creativity and teamwork
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements


Most Important Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Minimum MBO level obtained through education or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of professional experience working in an operations environment, preferably a distribution center or related educational experience
  • Good knowledge and understanding of all department activities and functions
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Oracle
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Word and Excel
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems that arise in a distribution and/or warehouse environment
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment within established guidelines
  • Good oral and written communication skills in Dutch and in English

In our Distribution Center we work in shifts. One week from 8AM till 4.30PM the other week from 11.30AM till 8PM.
