Description

Key Responsibilities 
  • Evaluate existing supply base, to establish current state. Once established, define future state / “best in class” supply chain / supplier design requirements.  
  • Interface with decentralized procurement teams to establish “local” manufacturing site inputs / requirements are aligned with center led strategy. 
  • To produce a supplier rationalization program, with execution timeline 
  • Categorize, and define supplier spend with BCP (Business Continuity Plan), to manage risk, and liability. 
  • Design, lead, negotiate, and implement multiyear Pall contracts (as applicable)
  • Detailed understanding of macro-economic factors affecting, driving, and influencing category management. 
  • Maximize “year over year” working capital improvements.
  • Design and lead supplier transitions (Outsourcing, Insourcing, Vendor to Vendor)
  • Strong understanding of Lean methodologies, principles, and tools
  • Prioritize highest level of quality, and continuity of supply 
  • An understanding of Six Sigma methodologies, and tools 
  • Support R&D & Engineering on all New Product Development (NPD), and introduction  programs (NPI)
  • Support cross-functional efforts to reduce costs, standardize components through the VEVA process
  • Dynamic understanding of market place technologies, for adoption, and incorporation into Pall’s value proposition.  
  • Critical to ensure strong, value-adding relationships with suppliers, internal customers, and cross-functional departments 
  • Business travel requirements up to 15%

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Highly effective communication and facilitation skills. 
  • Ability, to understand and formulate the business requirements for a commercial trade contract. 
  • Conducted business travel outside of North American. Has a current valid passport for travel.
  • Strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships across global boundaries, and time zones.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build cross-cultural teams.
  • Tactical strength, with execution abilities to support manufacturing locations globally.
  • Highly analytical
  • Multilingual ability (both written and oral) an advantage.
  • Experience with the usage of electronic sourcing tools for RFI, RFQ, Reverse Auction
Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or 3+ years of Purchasing experience
  • Experience with international business
  • 1+ year of fabrication or welding experience
  • Proven negotiation skills, with demonstrated performance results 
  • Global sourcing experience for a global multinational manufacturing company
