Key deliverables are to sell, promote and act as subject matter expert for SCIEX software products to our current install base of SCIEX customers, in order to drive increased software, software contracts, validation and training revenue. Take accountability for implementation of sales plan designed to achieve and exceed established sales and financial goals for software products; call on prospective and current company customers; involve technical personnel to resolve customer issues and problems as needed; engage directly with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and a continuous software revenue stream.

Responsible for advancing the sales of the SCIEX Software Support products by telephone and/or site visits. Account management for small accounts and telephone selling to support selling at bigger accounts in a manner that positively reflects the company image. Understand customer organizations by market vertical, department, function, and key programs. Master the basic features and benefits of the entire SCIEX software portfolio of products.

Drive and own sales opportunities for within the defined territoy, market segment or defined accounts for SCIEX software, contract, training and validation products with our established mass spec install base and call upon them to improve incremental software revenue.  Responsible for meeting and exceeding assigned forecast and targets through exceptional selling skills and effectively manage all stages of the sales cycle. Responsible for opportunity funnel management, lead qualification, win-rate management and regular strategic pricing reviews. Identify and qualify new business opportunities. Input Leads in SFDC and consistently update SFDC sales funnel. Integrate with existing Market Development Managers, Market Development Specialists and Mass Spec Sales Specialists, where opportunity to exists to leverage the software sales channel as a tool to drive incremental business in mass spec sales.

Works together with field sales to coordinate the approach on low revenue accounts as well as qualifies leads on high value accounts. Identifies, develops and closes sales opportunities for the Software Support and Service products by outbound telephone calls. Plan and coordinate own business activities. Successfully integrate with current MS sales process to provide value added selling strategies that provide synergistic growth in our mass spectrometry business.


Job Requirements


Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in domain-relevant Life Sciences/Computer Science or domain informatics preferred.  5+ years’ experience around regulated laboratory environments (GMP, FDA21cfr11, ISO). Experience with lab informatics software required, as well as expertise in the use of informatics computing and data management packages. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, with superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to prioritize, organizes, and delegate various tasks on projects, working in a cross-functional team environment. Frequently demonstrated success in project management. Must be able to work well under pressure. Must be able to speak English and Italian.  Experience with LC/MS/MS systems is preferred. Computer literate - 'Microsoft Office' - Word/Excel/Powerpoint. 

Experience working with global teams and working with corporate IT infrastructure/architecture, applications development & integration.

Work is performed in a non-hazardous office environment with low noise levels.  Requires the use of office equipment performing work of a non-repetitive nature, which does not require sustained exposure to any one task. Travel is required.
