Description

We are implementing an updated and enhanced middleware platform to support our new and legacy applications portfolio. The Developer will have the opportunity to work as a key member of our IT team tasked primarily, but not limited to, building scalable integration services on our platform. This opportunity would be ideal for someone who is at the beginning of their career in middleware/software development and readily accepts and takes on new development challenges in multiple platforms.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • The ability to collaborate with the IT Business Systems Team as well as Leica Biosystems Business Leaders to understand requirements, interpret requests, and deploy solutions based on requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to accept software development challenges on multiple platforms.
  • Perform code development, unit testing, performance analysis, integration and other relevant activities
  • Able to write and communicate clearly.
  • Passionate about creating solid and maintainable code, scripts, and reports.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into a logical steps or actions.
  • Troubleshoot and correct system anomalies.
Education / Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Related field.
  • 1-2 years of software development experience either developing applications or customizing existing COTS applications.
  • Experience with middleware platforms a plus and direct experience with Informatica development a strong plus.
Travel: Ability to travel as needed (minimal).
