The Shipping Lead  assist the Supervisor, Shipping, to oversee the generation, dispersion and coordination of all shipping processes and documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling/prioritizing shift’s workload and providing direction to staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure that all shipments meet ChemTreat’s specifications and DOT requirements.
  • Maintain inventories for shipping-related items.
  • Perform all the duties for all positions within the department, as necessary.
  • Maintain communication with internal departments and plant supervision to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and complete appropriate forms, logs, etc. Complete appropriate data entry in computer system.
  • Assist with the conducting of training as specified under ChemTreat’s ISO-9000 program.
  • Provide guidance and direction to Shipping dept. employees. Assist in review process.
  • Maintain general housekeeping duties that provide for a neat, safe, and clean work area.
  • Maintain environmental, health and safety documentation as it relates to EPA compliance, OSHA requirements, and ChemTreat, Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Follow appropriate EHS procedures and policy which may include the identification and proper handling of hazardous waste and file incident reports for work related incidents and near misses.

  • GED or High School Diploma. Associate Degree preferred.
  • Previous management/supervisory experience with effective communication and good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift; 1:30pm - 9:30pm
  • Experience in inventory management, forklift operation required.
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and basic mathematics.
  • Microsoft Office, and CRT/data entry
  • Constantly required to sit and occasionally required to walk, stand, climb (includes stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk, hear, and smell
  • Constantly using hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, and computer keyboards, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and operate forklift.
  • Routinely required to reach with hands and arms, squat, turn/twist, or reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and sometimes required to maneuver drums weighing 250-800 pounds
  • Required to be medically cleared to wear a respirator.
  • Required to able to physically access each of the manufacturing operation’s areas to perform the essential job functions.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

  • This is a specialty chemical blending and packaging facility where hazardous materials are present.
  • Will be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures and work space restrictions.
  • Required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include: eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective apron, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields.
  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
  • Contact lenses may not be allowed in some areas.
