Role Overview:
 
The successful candidate will be part of the Technical Operations team based in Clare, Ireland. The Technical Operations Scientist will work closely with a global cross functional teams to support and introduce new products that meet the expectations of our customers and our global support organisations.
The successful candidate will perform a critical role ensuring supply of safe, reliable and effective diagnostic products to our customer, compliance of the product to product design, transferring knowledge of new or current product design elements from sister sites into the Clare manufacturing facility.
They would be involved in establishing and maintaining technical documentation required by operations to support technical transfer of manufacturing activities into production; including Item Master Files, Bills of Materials, SOPS, Validation Reports, Engineering Change Controls, Risk Documentation and Design History Files.
To be successful in this position the candidate must demonstrate the following:
  • Scientific background one of more of the following disciplines:
    • Biochemistry/Clinical Chemistry
    • Immunology
    • In Vitro Diagnostics.
    • Virology/Infectious Diseases
    • Bioconjugation
  • Proven Troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to leverage critical thinking skills to solve complex challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to teach system concepts to a broad audience
  • Active listening skills
  • Objectivity when analyzing situations
  • Sense of urgency
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:
Third level qualification or higher in a Science discipline.
5+ years’ experience in the In Vitro Diagnostics/Medical Device Industry.
A good understanding of cGMP and ISO/FDA requirements is beneficial.
