Description

We are looking for great talent, for future opportunities.   


A Sr. Systems Engineer is responsible for the following aspects as they relate to the development of new products or sustainment of existing products (products are medical diagnostic instruments): 

  • Elicitation and analysis of systems requirements
  • Performance of risk analysis and system risk assessments per ISO 14791
  • Development and documentation of system concepts 
  • Characterization of system performance by analysis and test
  • System performance verification
  • Test documentation: Plan, Procedure, Report 
  • Analysis of human factors and performance of human factors and user experience testing which requires interacting with customers
  • Reliability analysis
  • Design traceability
  • Design FMEAs
  • Failure Investigations and Root Cause Analysis 

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering + 5 Years' Experience; or Master’s Degree + 3 Years' Experience
  • Familiarity Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Design of Experiments, and Fishbone Analysis
  • Good technical writing skills: plans, procedures, reports, change descriptions, impact assessments
  • Experience managing requirements and design traceability OR performing and documenting verification test activities OR performing safety risk analysis for medical devices ( ISO 14791)
  • Experience with simulation using Labview, Matlab, Arduino, or other is a plus
  • Some coding experience is a plus; willingness to do basic coding to prototype and simulate system performance 
  • Requires working in laboratory environment with exposure to biological materials and adherence to safe laboratory practices approximately 25% of the time.
  • Experience with lab-automation preferred
  • Previous experience in life sciences, pharma, medical device or other heavily regulated industry preferred
