Description

This new position supports the growth of the Sciex Separations business in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. As part of a distributed team, you will bring outstanding communications skills, excellent technical expertise, creative thinking, strong software development skills in Windows WPF and back-end (Services) to the organization. You will report to the Sr. Software Development Manager for the Sciex Separations business in Redwood City.



Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain Liquid Chromatography instrumentation driver software for Life Sciences domain
  • Front-end WPF to back-end Windows service layers for instrumentation control and status
  • Scrum software development process, code reviews, design reviews, user story and tasks updates
  • Implementation of unit tests and automation scripts
  • Create and maintain software life-cycle documentation
  • Support the verification of software and systems
  • Comply to the quality management system and applicable regulatory requirements

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • 5+ years C# with UI focus
  • 5+years .NET/WPF/WCF application/service development
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills through distributed layers of software
  • Agile software development process experience. Scrum environment for software development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and continuously looking to improve own skills
  • Results oriented both independently and in a team setting
  • Track record for delivering results, taking ownership and being accountable

Additional Requirements


  • 7+years C# for instrumentation control software for client facing device driver
  • Experience in Liquid Chromatography (LC) systems is a plus
  • Experience in Life Science or Medical Device domains
  • Strong business sense with customer focus
