3rd shift formulator position requirements

The Reagent Manufacturing Technician (Formulator) is responsible for:

  • Working independently as a member of a two person team to complete the required tasks in a timely manner so as to not slow down and / or hold up production.  
  • Ability to follow and neatly complete Batch Records in a timely manner.
  • Ability to follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Work Instructions (WI). 
  • A basic understanding of and the ability to maintain an inventory of the chemical raw materials
  • Ability to learn and complete the disinfection of batch system equipment
  • Ability perform in-process testing on formulated batches.
  • Maintaining accurate and neat log books and waste records
  • Following all safety procedures and wearing proper PPE. 
  • Maintaining a clean work environment on a daily basis.
  • Communicating with management and peers as needed to complete the weekly production schedule
  • Following departmental procedures for the maintenance of production equipment.
  • Operating technical equipment needed to complete the manufacture of products; to include but not limited to drum lifts, scales and ventilation hoods.
  • Prioritizing work in a fast paced changing work environment so as to complete the required priorities in a timely manner.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • This position also requires the ability to maneuver 450 lb drums in a temperature controlled environment (68 to 77 deg F) and the ability to work overtime and weekends as required.  Basic math skills are a must. This position starts at 12 am and ends at 8:30am and a 10% shift differential is available for the hours worked on 3rd shift. A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
