Act as the business champion and owner for launch of the Echo MS and the continued support of ion sources at Sciex.

Collect voice of customer to formulate product roadmap.

Drive product launch of Echo MS including sales training.

Serve as marketing member of product development core teams for source development.

Position Responsibilities:

As the manager of the ion source business the primary responsibilities are

  • Develop road map for and participate in the launch and commercialization of the Echo MS system.
  • Own generation of the product roadmap for ion sources and Selexion technology.
  • Serve as core team member on ion source product development teams.
  • Own understanding of problems, both technical and financial, within the ion source  business.
  • Communicate value propositions to global marketing for generation of customer facing literature, web site, and sales training.
  • Own generation of Voice of Customer (VOC) for product updates, positioning updates.
  • Actively participate in Sciex Strategic planning
  • Work closely with LC and MS groups to ensure alignment of messages and goals
  • Work closely with market vertical teams to ensure alignment of goals and delivery of product messaging.
  • Coordinate and partner with global sales team to ensure alignment with business goals
  • Develop and deliver sales training


Job Requirements


  • 5+ years’ experience in Life Science Research marketing, sales and/or technical support roles.
  • Knowledge of MS market and/or technology
  • Life Science market knowledge
  • Strong communicator with ability to influence people directly and remotely.
  • MS or PhD required in related field
  • Must be available for a minimum of 25 % domestic and international travel.
