Description

  • The Senior Manager Production Operations will lead our team of hardware assembly associates in our growing Immunoassay and Urinalysis value streams.
  • Performance management, coaching and mentoring to team of 7 direct reports and extended team of ~120 associates. Recruit, develop, engage and retain top tier talent.
  • Plan and execute strategies to drive sustained improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity and Material Savings within Hardware Operations
  • Ensure a safe work environment for all associates and drive to proactively eliminate any environmental, health, and safety incidents
  • Set direction based on customer demand and drives her/his team to meet requirements 
  • Determine and monitor the overall resource capacity (personnel & equipment) for the organization and set priorities to maintain production expectations. Actively participate in annual manufacturing planning process. Prepare Capital Appropriation Requests.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities utilizing lean manufacturing principles and tools
  • Comply with Beckman Coulter Quality Policy Statement and all Danaher Standards of Conduct
  • Actively manage department budgets

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain discipline (B.S. with 14+ years of experience, M.S. or Ph.D. with 12+ years of experience). At least 4 years of experience managing leaders.
  • Experience in the manufacture of medical devices. Understanding of GMP for Medical Devices FDA 21 CFR Part 820 Quality System Regulation and ISO 13485 Medical Devices – Quality Management Systems
  • 5-10 years of experience developing and managing high performing teams
  • Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing 
  • Strong Project Management experience
  • Extensive PC skills - proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Travel Requirements – less than 10%
  • This position will report to the Senior Director Production Operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities. Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, and gain commitment at all levels in the organization
