Description

  • Accountable to ensure all closing activities and critical consolidation tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage and monitor global monthly close, consolidation, and reporting process to ensure results are reported timely and accurately.  
  • Involved in month end closing general ledger activities.  This includes reviewing journal entries, royalty payments, and account reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyze profit in inventory consolidation related elimination entry monthly which is one of the most complex and technical tasks in the company.
  • Prepare and submit consolidated financial results and reporting supplementals through Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) database.
  • Provide oversight and governance surrounding global accounting policies.  This includes implementing new accounting policies and procedures both within the finance shared service organization and business units as well as decision-making around key accounting technical topics
  • Coordinate and collaborate with auditors to address external and internal audit requests 
  • Manage 2 related teams and allocate resources to align to organization plans.  Set the objectives for these teams and priorities accordingly

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should be highly scalable, possess excellent analytical and communication skills (interaction with upper management), have comprehensive understanding of accounting concepts and principles, strong financial systems knowledge and have the ability to work with a sense of focused urgency in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.  The candidate will have the opportunity to develop quickly through challenging responsibilities and assignments surrounded by a group of strong and dedicated professionals.

REQUIREMENTS
  • BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting 
  • CPA license required
  • Big 4 experience required
  • 14+ years mix of public accounting and private experience, with progressive responsibility in the accounting function or 12+ years of experience with a master’s degree.  Related experience should include 4+ years managing people
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills (large amount of interaction with upper management) required.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, and advanced PC skills.
