Danaher`s Water Quality Business is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including HACH, ChemTreat, and Trojan Technologies.


Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain EMENA is a critical role in Hach’s worldwide operations organization, and is responsible for developing and implementing the Supply Chain strategy while delivering exceptional performance. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Supply Chain, the role’s purview includes demand and forecast planning, order management, intercompany trade, inventory management and Export. This position is a key contributor in managing the overall business with the broader Operations leadership team to ensure delivery of top and bottom line results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Functional Leadership
  • Undertake full tactical and strategic responsibility for optimizing the performance of current supply chains, continually improving efficiency and performance to deliver strong business performance.
  • Institute and measure key performance indicators; work cross-functionally to optimize processes and develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives against established performance goals.
  • Render judgments and make timely decisions in alignment with business objectives, strategies and tactics, while reflecting strong teamwork across the business.
  • Develop supply chain management best practices in areas of end-to-end inventory control, demand planning and optimization.
  • Lead a team of direct reports and an expanded team over Export, Intercompany Trade and Order Management.
  • Promptly reconcile and communicate changes in plans and programs, conditions and issues with the appropriate staff and management team.
  • Drive continuous improvement of forecasting accuracy to best align inventory levels with peaks and troughs in demand, and enhance profitability across Hach’s product lines.
  • Proactively Materials Management
  • Establish and manage to appropriate inventory targets considering demand and supply variability, cycle times, service levels, and risk.
  • Support rapid growth across global markets by establishing supply chain practices that ensure consistent best-in-class customer service, fill rate and inventory efficiency.
  • On-Time Delivery
  • Optimize delivery performance as measured by delivery on-time in full, to ensure superior business performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to mitigate the risk of disruptions throughout the supply chain.
  • Ensure order fulfillment process is customer focused and efficient.

Job Requirements


The successful candidate will have demonstrated success leading a Supply Chain organization where he/she has driven measurable improvements. He/she will have a strong background managing complex businesses with a european reach. The successful candidate will also be highly engaging and collaborative, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire department and functional leadership.

Key Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience within supply chain, demand and inventory planning and inventory management.
  • 3 or more years of management experience managing teams, projects and resource allocation.
  • Proven track record of leading an organization that delivered improvements in delivery, time, inventory and forecast accuracy.
  • Excellent data analytical and modeling skills required while displaying financial and business acumen.
  • Motivated, flexible, and creative leader; able to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or influence cross-functional teams in a global business environment
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Oracle and AS400 experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills including analytical thinking and ability to balance several on-going projects simultaneously with ability to remain focused in the presence of shifting priorities and strategies in timely response to the business need.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Must be proficient in English and German language (both verbal and written).

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain, Distribution or Logistics
  • MBA preferred
