Title:                                        Senior Manager, Distribution High Gross Markets (HGM)

Level:                                       M3 (Senior Manager)

Location:                                 Open/Flexible -Beckman Coulter Location (Netherlands/Clare Ireland /UK)

Reporting to:                            Director, Distribution & Logistics

Position

As a Senior Manager Distribution you will be responsible for all the distribution activities in High Gross Markets (currently 5 locations: Turkey/Russia/India/South-Africa/Saud Arabia; a mix of insource and outsource warehouses). Manage the distribution teams in each location ensuring orders are distributed in the most efficient way and the most efficient cost. Drives process improvement by applying continuous improvement and lean principles, using DBS-tools.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Deliver value to the customer base and shareholders through improved quality levels, cost reductions and effective leadership:
  • Achieve on-time delivery and customer satisfaction by all distribution sites
  • Meet identified financial targets (shipping/duty/warehouse cost)
  • Drive cost savings projects to meet targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement to KPI’s by training and implementing DBS (Danaher Business System) tools. 
  • Creating, directing and executing Distribution strategies that will improve supply chain speed to market, delivery reliability, and support company growth.
  • Manage all aspects of inbound/storage/outbound flows
  • Drive significant year-over-year distribution cost reductions
  • Actively enforce all policies in regards to distribution
  • Manage adherence via partnership with 3PL providers
  • Identify and implement best practices, and work with our commercial teams to optimize manufacturing and business processes that have a direct and/or indirect impact on distribution costs
  • Leading the Distribution of Excellence journey in HGM
  • Create/develop/maintain a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within Distribution, in order to generate the customer’s perception of Beckman Distribution as a competitive advantage
  • Develop an operations plan that is aligned with the marketplace and supports the Beckman Coulter HGM Distribution Excellence journey.
  • Work with all facets of the Beckman Coulter and the customer base to ensure the capability of the operations network is properly positioned to exploit marketplace opportunities.
  • Ensure customers have high confidence in Beckman’s distribution capabilities today while positioning the operations network for the future.
  • Develop and sustain key performance indicators as part of a comprehensive performance measurement methodology to ensure both financial goals and key performance metrics – SQDC of the business plan are met.
  • Ensure Distribution employees are motivated and trained to provide quality service by living Danaher core values



Job Requirements



Qualifications

Qualifications:

•University degree in Logistics Management, preferable APICS certified
•Experience 10+ years in Distribution Management in multinational environment. Cold chain experience very important
•Used to work in matrix organizations
•Excellent people management skills: hiring, developing talents and drive continuous improvement.
•Used to manage teams remotely
•Communication skills
•Data driven mindset
•Fluent English 
•Available to travel in HGM-region (up to 50%)
