Description

The Logistics and Data specialist has the following main tasks:
  • Maximize product availability and service level by performing a wide variety of tasks, related to the inbound flow of materials (e.g.: reagents, instruments or equipment).
  • Drive improvements, related to customer satisfaction, overall logistics performance and/or cost reductions, based on conclusions coming from your data analysis.  
  • Maintain compliance with ISO, IATA, OSHA, DOT, FAA, FDA Guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:

Inbound Logistics
  • Monitor 3PL performance on inbound activities coming from other dc`s, manufacturing sites, suppliers and customers (return logistics).
  • Resolve all occurring issues, in close cooperation with 3PL partner, within set deadlines to ensure material availability for Beckman customers.
  • Acts as an Interface between the 3PL warehouse and other stakeholders (e.g.: Logistics, Customer Service, Global Trade, Product planning and Procurement).
  • Focus on inbound management with special attention to accuracy, ensured through efficient and up to date inbound procedures and systems.
  • Ensure forecast for inbound activities is in place and followed.
  • Ensure development & maintenance of KPI’s, related to the inbound process.
  • Focus on continuous improvement with available tooling (DBS): standard work, daily (visual) management, value stream mapping, 5S, problem solving, policy deployment, etc.).
Data analysis and process improvements
  • Develop, build and maintain dashboards/reports.
  • Training end users on new reports and dashboards.
  • Drive improvements initiated as owner, as stakeholder or as initiator.
  • Drive the daily management on the Netherlands logistics site.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Logistics
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics or Data analytics;
  • 2 years of experience in warehousing, logistics or supply chain operations;
  • APICS certification is a nice to have
Technical
  • Experience with ERP tools (preferably Oracle)
  • Very good with reporting tools (OBI, MS Excel, SQL, MS Access, etc.)
General
  • Fluent in English, any other European language is a nice to have
  • Able to work independent and remote
  • Excellent communication and presenting skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Team player and problem solver, able to work under high pressure
  • Strong customer focus and service oriented
  • Occasional travelling is required (10% or less)
